Few words about us
Cuisine Colombo (Pvt) Ltd is a limited liability company having
registered its business in Sri Lanka in January 2020 and is gradually
evolving as a popular Restaurant chain in Colombo serving a
multi-cuisine menu to a wide range of customers.
The Vision of Cuisine Colombo is to become a renowned chain
of Restaurants with branches in different parts of the World serving
top quality food with an array of dishes to cater to a majority.
Given that Cuisine Colombo is a multi-cuisine restaurant, it caters to
different pallets, Kids to Adults, Vegetarian to Non-Vegetarian
preferences, Vegan dishes, those who prefer healthy food, etc.
The Cuisine that is served includes European, Italian, Asian,
Chinese, American and some Thai Cuisine as well.
The team of Cuisine Colombo consists of well experienced Chefs
trained in different parts of the World with plenty of experience
having worked in renowned 5-star hotels, Cruise lines, etc which
enables Cuisine Colombo to stand out and offer delicacies
appreciated by all.

Our Founder
Sushan Peiris
Cuisine Colombo came into being solely through a passion which was instilled
in the heart of Mr. Sushan Peiris the Founder / Managing Director of Cuisine
Colombo (Pvt) Ltd to start his own chain of restaurants initially in Colombo and
subsequently in cities across the globe.
Being an Attorney-at-Law by profession, this passion towards the food industry
forced him to take a break from his legal practice and venture into the food &
beverage industry. However, with a 10 year experience in the hospitality
industry as well, he was able to convert Cuisine Colombo into a chain of 2
successful restaurants operating in Colombo.
Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka and educated at S.Thomas’ Preparatory School and
subsequently S.Thomas’ College, Sushan completed his higher education at
Stafford International School, Colombo. He was inspired to pursue a degree in
Law from the University of Reading in the UK and upon returning to Sri Lanka,
he obtained experience in the fields of law and business prior to joining the
family owned Modern Group of Companies.
He then pursued his Masters degree in Business administration from the
Post-Graduate Institute of Management (PIM) and went on to pursue a Diploma
in Diplomacy and World Affairs at the Bandaranaike International Diplomatic
Training Institute, BMICH, Colombo.
Having an entrepreneurial mindset and being an
Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka,
Sushan is involved in both legal and business concerns
and has initiated a number of businesses related to
construction, events & entertainment, and hospitality &
tourism.
He recently completed a contractual placement with the Government of Sri Lanka as the Legal Officer of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry, to Investigate and Inquire in to alleged irregularities in connection with Sri Lankan Airlines Ltd, Sri Lankan Catering Ltd and Mihin Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., and the report of the said Commission of Inquiry was handed over to His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, the Former President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, on the 2nd of July 2019.
Here’s a glimpse of how Our Journey unfolded
Cuisine Colombo began it’s operations in January 2020.
Three (3) weeks after operations commenced, the restaurant had to close all functions given the closure of the Country due to the 1st wave of Covid-19.
Subsequent to this, no sooner the Country re-opened after the first wave, Cuisine Colombo began operations once again by opening to the public on the 26th of June 2020 and has now evolved into an extremely successful Restaurant in the area. We could proudly state that having begun operations 3 weeks prior to the first wave of Covid-19, shut down operations and commenced operations once again post Covid-19 and being in operation throughout the pandemic, Cuisine Colombo has successfully shone as a successful venture in this industry.
Given this success, prior to completing one year in the business, Cuisine Colombo opened it’s SECOND outlet in the heart of Colombo (R.G. Senanayake Mawatha, Colombo 07) and has turned out to be a renowned and successful business venture with the following attributes under its belt.
